Introduction
Ho'okipa Beach Park is a beach on Maui's North Shore, known as "turtle beach," where large numbers of Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu) regularly come ashore to bask on the sand, especially in the afternoon and evening. Visitors can view dozens, sometimes over 100, turtles resting near the shorebreak, making it a popular stop for wildlife viewing and photography.
