Introduction
Lau Pa Sat, also known as Telok Ayer Market, is a historic Victorian-style hawker centre located at 18 Raffles Quay in Singapore's Downtown Core/Central Business District, and is the only hawker centre in Singapore housed within a national monument. It offers over 80 stalls serving local hawker favourites, Mod-Sin cuisine and international dishes, and is open 24 hours daily. At night it transforms into the famous open-air "Satay Street" on Boon Tat Street, with numerous satay carts grilling skewers alfresco.
