Introduction
The Oriental Pearl Tower is a futuristic TV tower built between 1990 and 1994, standing at the tip of Lujiazui in Shanghai's Pudong district beside the Huangpu River, directly across from the historic Bund. At 468 meters, it was the tallest structure in China until 2007 and remains one of the tallest TV towers in Asia, offering observation decks and sightseeing facilities.
