Introduction
Rocky Mountain National Park is a U.S. national park in north-central Colorado, about 55-70 miles northwest of Denver near the town of Estes Park. Established in 1915, it spans over 415 square miles of the Front Range, featuring 77 mountains above 12,000 feet including 14,259-foot Longs Peak, 150 alpine lakes, and 350+ miles of hiking trails. Visitors come for mountain climbing, hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives like Trail Ridge Road.
