Introduction
Giessbach Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall on the southern shore of Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland, cascading roughly 400-500 meters down 14 steps into the turquoise lake. Visitors can ride Europe's oldest tourist funicular up to the Grandhotel Giessbach and follow a hiking trail that leads behind and alongside the falls with views over Lake Brienz.
