Introduction
Dwejra, on Gozo's west coast, is a dramatic coastal site combining an Inland Sea lagoon connected to the open sea by a 100-metre tunnel and the famous Blue Hole, a circular sinkhole leading via an underwater archway to the sea. It sits near the former Azure Window and is renowned for swimming, snorkeling and some of Malta's best scuba diving amid limestone cliffs and fossil-rich rock formations.
