Introduction
Mount Pilatus is a mountain massif overlooking Lucerne in Central Switzerland, rising to about 2,132 meters above Lake Lucerne. It is famous for the world's steepest cogwheel railway, which departs from Alpnachstad near Alpnach Dorf, as well as cable cars from Kriens, offering panoramic views of dozens of Alpine peaks and Lake Lucerne.
