Introduction
New Century Global Center, opened in 2013 in Chengdu's Tianfu New Area, is the world's largest freestanding building by floor space, covering roughly 1.7 million square metres. The multipurpose complex houses shopping malls, offices, two five-star hotels, an IMAX cinema, an ice rink, a museum, and a massive indoor water park with an artificial beach that can hold thousands of visitors.
