Introduction
Nachi Waterfall is Japan's tallest waterfall, with an uninterrupted drop of 133 meters and one ton of water falling every second, located near Nachikatsuura in Wakayama Prefecture. Adjacent to it stands Seiganto-ji Temple, an ancient Buddhist temple with a three-story pagoda built purposely near the falls as a site of nature worship, forming part of the Kumano Sanzan World Heritage sites. The combination of the pagoda framed against the cascading waterfall is one of Japan's most iconic scenic views.
