Introduction
Lake Tritriva is a deep volcanic crater lake in Madagascar's central highlands, near the town of Antsirabe and the village of Belazao. Perched at about 1,881m altitude with waters reportedly over 150-160m deep, it is famed for its striking emerald-green color, dramatic cliffs, and a well-known local legend, and is considered a sacred site by the Malagasy people.
