Introduction
Tulbagh is one of South Africa's oldest towns, established in 1795 in the Cape Winelands region of the Western Cape, about 90 minutes from Cape Town. It is known for Church Street, which holds one of the largest concentrations of Cape-Dutch, Edwardian and Victorian heritage buildings in the country, and for its surrounding wine farms, mountain scenery and hiking trails.
