Introduction
Harold Porter National Botanical Garden is located in Betty's Bay in the Western Cape, covering almost 200 hectares between the Kogelberg Mountains and the sea, within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. It is the only South African national botanical garden stretching from mountains to the sea, featuring around 1,600 fynbos plant species, waterfalls, amber pools, and cultivated garden areas. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, birdwatching, and picnicking amid the coastal fynbos scenery.
