Introduction
Daci Temple is a historic Buddhist temple in Chengdu's Jinjiang district, with origins dating back roughly 1,600 years to the Wei and Jin dynasties and later rebuilt in 1867. It sits right beside the modern Taikoo Li (TaiGuLi) shopping district near Chunxi Road, creating a striking contrast between its traditional low-rise halls and the surrounding high-rise skyline, and it is historically linked to the monk Xuanzang who once stayed there.
