Introduction
Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, also known as Chen Clan Academy, is a 19th-century academic temple in Liwan District, Guangzhou, built by 72 Chen clans as a shared ancestral hall and lodging for descendants. Renowned as the largest and most exquisitely decorated traditional Lingnan-style ancestral hall in Guangdong, it features intricate wood, brick, and stone carvings along with colorful ceramic roof figures, and now functions as a museum showcasing Lingnan history and art.
