Introduction
Ross Castle is a 15th-century tower house and keep on the edge of Lough Leane in Killarney National Park, County Kerry, Ireland, built by the Irish chieftain O'Donoghue Mór and later the ancestral home of the Clan O'Donoghue. It offers guided tours through rooms furnished with 16th- and 17th-century pieces, and its surrounding grounds feature a circular walking trail with views of the lower lake.
