Introduction
Marina Barrage is a dam built across the 350-metre-wide Marina Channel in southern Singapore, at the confluence of five rivers, creating the Marina Reservoir—Singapore's 15th and first reservoir in the city centre. Completed in 2008, it serves flood control and water supply functions while its grassy rooftop park offers a popular spot for picnics, kite-flying, and scenic views of the city skyline.
