Introduction
Mount Ijen is an active volcano complex on the border of Banyuwangi and Bondowoso regencies in East Java, Indonesia, part of the Ijen UNESCO Global Geopark. It is famous for Kawah Ijen, the world's largest highly acidic turquoise crater lake, and for its rare blue flame phenomenon, and is also the site of a traditional sulfur mining operation.
