Introduction
Tromsø is the largest city in Northern Norway, located on the island of Tromsøya more than 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Known as the Arctic capital, it combines vibrant city life with surrounding Arctic nature, offering northern lights viewing in autumn and winter and midnight sun in summer, and its centre holds the highest number of old wooden houses in Northern Norway.
