Introduction
Gunung Kawi Temple is an 11th-century Balinese temple and funerary complex carved into cliffs along the Pakerisan River in Tampaksiring, near Ubud, and is popularly known as the Valley of the Kings. It features ancient shrines and rock-cut memorials dedicated to Balinese royalty, and remains a site where traditional rituals and ceremonies are still practiced today.
