Introduction
People's Park (Renmin Park) is a public park in Shanghai's Huangpu District, located just south of Nanjing Road and forming part of the People's Square area. Opened to the public in the 1950s on the former site of the Shanghai Racecourse, it features landscaped gardens, a lotus pond, Bicui Lake, and over 200 kinds of trees, and is well known as a gathering spot for locals practicing tai chi and for its famous marriage market.
