Mount Bromo is an active volcano rising 2,329 meters above sea level in East Java's Tengger Caldera, set within a vast volcanic plain known as the Sea of Sand. It is famous for its dramatic sunrise views and offers visitors the chance to cross the sandy caldera floor by jeep, horse, or on foot before hiking to the smoking crater rim.
