Introduction
Jumbo Empanadas is a longtime Chilean food shop on Augusta Avenue in Toronto's Kensington Market, known for its large, freshly made empanadas filled with beef, chicken, cheese or vegetables. Operating since around 1991, it became a beloved neighbourhood institution before its owner announced plans to close the business due to rising costs.
