Introduction
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed cultural landscape in the Penebel district of Tabanan regency, Bali, spanning over 600 hectares (about 1,400 acres) on the slopes of Mount Batukaru at roughly 700 meters above sea level. It is Bali's largest rice terrace, farmed by hundreds of local producers using the traditional Subak irrigation system, and is known for its sweeping, layered green paddies and panoramic mountain views.
