Introduction
This is a large street art mural on a shophouse at 297 South Bridge Road in Chinatown, Singapore, painted by American artist Sean Dunston in 2024. It depicts a young Samsui woman, part of the historic community of female Chinese migrant labourers who helped build Singapore, and became widely known after sparking public debate over her being shown holding a cigarette.
