Introduction
Augrabies Falls National Park is a South African national park in the Northern Cape province, about 120 km west of Upington, established in 1966 and covering roughly 820 km² along the Orange River. It is home to the Augrabies Falls, which plunge 56 metres into an 18 km gorge, and the park's arid Nama Karoo landscape supports around 48 mammal and 184 bird species, along with hiking trails and a rest camp.
