Introduction
Colline du Château (Castle Hill) is a hilltop park in Vieux Nice, rising about 92 meters above the city on the site of a former medieval citadel that stood from the 11th century until it was destroyed and later turned into a public park in the 19th century. Covering roughly 19.3 hectares of greenery, it features castle ruins, a waterfall, a café, and panoramic views over the Baie des Anges, the old town, and the port, and can be reached by foot, stairs, or a public elevator from the Promenade des Anglais.
