Introduction
Vikos Gorge is a dramatic limestone canyon in the Pindus Mountains of the Zagori region in northwestern Greece, part of Vikos-Aoos National Park, often cited as one of the deepest gorges in the world relative to its width. It is a premier hiking destination, with trails running roughly 12-20 km between the stone villages of Zagorochoria, offering spectacular cliff views, viewpoints such as Beloi, and access to the Voidomatis River below.
