Introduction
Batu Caves is a series of limestone caves and Hindu cave temples set in a 400-million-year-old limestone hill in Gombak, Selangor, about 13 km north of Kuala Lumpur. It is famous for its towering golden Lord Murugan statue and 272 colourful steps leading up to the main temple cave, making it one of Malaysia's most popular religious and tourist sites.
