Introduction
The Japanese Garden is a free municipal park of about 7,000 m2 located on Avenue Princesse Grace in the Larvotto ward of Monaco, next to the Grimaldi Forum. Created in 1994 at the request of Prince Rainier III and designed by landscape architect Yasuo Beppu according to strict Zen principles, it blends stone, water and Mediterranean plantings into a tranquil, harmoniously landscaped retreat near the seafront.
