Introduction
The Bell Tower of Xi'an is a Ming dynasty structure built in 1384, standing 27.4 meters tall at the geographical center of the old city where the East, South, West and North Streets meet. It is regarded as the largest and best-preserved bell tower of its kind in China and once served as the city's timekeeper, ringing to mark the hours of daily life.
