Introduction
The Great Mosque of Xi'an, also known as Huajue Xiang Mosque, is located at 30 Huajue Lane in the city's Muslim Quarter. First built in 742 AD during the Tang Dynasty and reaching its present form during the Ming Dynasty, it is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China, notable for its unique blend of traditional Chinese architecture with Islamic religious function.
