Introduction
Tokyo Station is a major railway hub in Chiyoda's Marunouchi business district, opened in 1914 as the terminus for the Tōkaidō, Tōhoku and Chūō lines and later the Tōkaidō Shinkansen. It features an iconic restored red-brick facade on the Marunouchi side and a modern Yaesu side with the Gran Roof, alongside a vast underground complex of shops, restaurants and passageways known as Tokyo Station City.
