Introduction
Casa Batlló is a landmark building designed by Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona's Eixample district on Passeig de Gràcia, renowned for its whimsical, curving Art Nouveau/Catalan Modernism facade said to reference the legend of St. George and the dragon. Built between 1904 and 1906 as a remodel of an earlier house, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the city's most visited attractions, open to the public as a museum.
