Introduction
Plaça de Catalunya is a large square of about 50,000 square metres in central Barcelona, considered the city's centre and the point where the old town (Ciutat Vella) meets the Eixample district. It features fountains, statues, and is a major hub for pedestrians, metro stations, and bus stops, marking the northern end of La Rambla.
