Introduction
Tiananmen Square is a vast public square in the heart of Beijing's Dongcheng District, covering roughly 440,000 square meters and ranking among the largest city squares in the world. It is surrounded by major landmarks including the Forbidden City's Tiananmen Gate, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and has been the site of significant historical events such as the 1919 May Fourth Movement.
