Introduction
María Luisa Park is Seville's principal public park, stretching along the Guadalquivir River just south of the city center in front of Plaza de España. Formerly the private gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo, it was donated to the city in 1893 by Infanta María Luisa Fernanda de Borbón and later inaugurated as a public park in 1914, and it was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1985. Shaded by palms and orange trees, it features fountains, monuments, and pavilions from the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, making it a popular spot for a leisurely stroll.
