Introduction
St. Paul's Catacombs is a large underground Roman and Byzantine burial complex on the outskirts of ancient Melite (near Rabat/Mdina), Malta, representing the earliest and largest archaeological evidence of Christianity on the island. Visitors can explore over 20 interconnected hypogea across a 2,000+ square meter site, along with a museum explaining the site's discovery and history, making it a key heritage attraction managed by Heritage Malta.
