Introduction
The Roman Theatre of Málaga is an ancient Roman theatre built in the early 1st century AD during the reign of Augustus, located at the foot of the Alcazaba fortress in the historic center of the city. Buried and forgotten for centuries, it was rediscovered in 1951 and is now the oldest monument in Málaga, free to visit along with its interpretation center.
