Introduction
The Palais Garnier, also known as Opéra Garnier, is a historic 1,979-seat opera house at the Place de l'Opéra in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by Charles Garnier as a 19th-century architectural masterpiece, it was inaugurated on 5 January 1875 and remains a venue for opera, ballet, and concerts, as well as being open for public visits.
