Introduction
Pulau Biola, also called Violin Island, is a tiny 0.4-hectare islet in the Singapore Strait, located between Pulau Senang and Pulau Satumu (Raffles Lighthouse). Its Portuguese-derived name means 'violin,' likely referencing its violin-like shape, and it is known for rich coral reef biodiversity and the critically endangered Mentigi plant, though it lies within a live-firing area and is not open to the public.
