Introduction
Nanluoguxiang, or South Luogu Lane, is a historic 787-meter-long hutong alley in Beijing's Dongcheng District, north of the Forbidden City and northeast of Beihai Lake. One of the city's oldest and best-preserved hutong neighborhoods, it has been a protected cultural and historical area since 1990 and is now lined with trendy shops, restaurants, and bars amid traditional courtyard architecture.
