Introduction
Shiroyama Park is a public park in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, established in 1873 on the wooded hill site of the former Takayama Castle, ruled by Lord Kanamori Nagachika in the late 1500s. Covering 24.3 hectares, it offers forest trails, castle ruins, about 700 cherry trees, and panoramic views over the old town, and has been recognized as one of Japan's '100 Forest Bathing Forests'.
