Hirata Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery in the old townscape of Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, tracing its roots to an Edo-period merchant house that began sake brewing in 1895. Visitors can tour the brewery, learn about traditional sake-making, and sample its brews via a coin-operated tasting machine, then purchase bottles at the attached shop.
