Introduction
Setas de Sevilla, officially the Metropol Parasol, is a large wooden structure located at Plaza de la Encarnación in Seville's old quarter. Designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer and inaugurated in 2011, it stands 29 metres tall and is composed of six large mushroom-shaped parasols, often cited as the world's largest wooden structure. It offers a panoramic walkway with city views, a museum, and combines avant-garde architecture with culture, history and gastronomy.
