Introduction
Jade Buddha Temple is a working Buddhist monastery in Shanghai, founded in 1882 to house two jade Buddha statues brought from Myanmar by sea. Located at 170 Anyuan Road (near Jing'an), it is a Chan (Zen) sect temple that serves as a peaceful spiritual retreat amid the modern city, and it also holds other cultural relics.
